International Extravaganza

We had the opportunity to publicise our services to the community (including Motiv8) recently at an ‘International Extravaganza’ in Bolton, Greater Manchester.  The event was held at at Moorgate Primary School, in Tonge Moor,  to create awareness of local services available to parents; representatives from Bolton CVS, Big Local and others were in attendance.

Innovative Help for the Homeless

We were delighted to host a group of students from the Manchester School of Architecture, in an exciting partnership,  for several months at our Welcome Community Centre in Cheetham Hill.  Our aim was to come up with some innovative solutions to the homeless problem in Greater Manchester.

We have started a parents’ group which will be running for five consecutive weeks on Tuesdays from 10:00 am – 11:30 am. This group welcomes all Chinese speaking mothers.

Macmillan Appreciation Event 2018

Recently, Wai Yin volunteers participated in an Macmillan Solutions appreciation event, in a night of fun and positivity, at the Castlefield Rooms, Dukes 92, Manchester. It was a fabulous evening with time to reflect on our collective achievements in 2017 of providing 4,780 hours of support to 549 cancer patients.
