Please also note that the staff listed below are Wai Yin staff and should be contacted for general information or to make a referral to the service. They are not responsible for the service availability. Translation services can be provided where needed, however staff listed can not guarantee that translation is always readily available. Immigration Advice
The service offers general advice on immigration and follows all the standards of Home Office and British Immigration Law. All solicitors that provide services are Level 3 OISC qualified.
Services are provided by appointment only and all advice provided is verbal only. The solicitors providing this service should not be held as legal representatives in a court of law.

Family Law
The service offers general advice on Family Law, including matters such as:
- Divorce procedures
- Financial settlements
- Child contact and residency
Solicitors that are used are fully qualified in their specialist areas. Services are provided by appointment only and all advice provided is verbal only. The solicitors providing this service should not be held as legal representatives in a court of law.

Employment Law
The service is provided by qualified solicitors and deals specifically with disputes between employers and employees. Disputes can include:
- non-payment of wages
- theft of property
- unfair dismissal
- harrassment
- accidents in the workplace
- employee disciplinary procedures

Other Legal Advice
Wai Yin understands that its users need legal advice in areas outside of those listed above. Wai Yin has developed working relationships with the University of Manchester School of Law and various Law Centres across Manchester and Greater Manchester.
These services are not held in partnership with Wai Yin, and staff can not guarantee that services will be available, or that advice can be given from these organisations. We will endeavour to find a service provision for our users, but we may not be successful. Some Law Centres have been known not to accept referrals from Wai Yin surrounding certain cases. Also, services from the School of Law is provided by students and volunteer solicitors. As with our other listed services, Wai Yin can not guarantee the quality of these services.
