Day Trip to Chatsworth House

Chatsworth House is a stately home in Derbyshire, England, in the Derbyshire Dales 3.5 miles northeast of Bakewell and 9 miles west of Chesterfield. The seat of the Duke of Devonshire, it has been home to the Cavendish family since 1549. In the film, ‘Pride and Prejudice’, Chatsworth was used as Pemberley, the residence of Mr Darcy. You are invited to join Wai Yin to celebrate Crossing the Borders.  See artworks created by Wai Yin members with artist Julie Mosley on display in the gallery, depicting stories of migration and hear audio recordings expressing hope, loss and joy living in this country. Wai Yin Courses in Salford

Wai Yin are proud to report that we have had a second successful term of courses in Salford in partnership with Salford City College’s Community Learning Team. This term we have built on the success over the spring term and run three courses, two ESOL courses and one ICT course. Our ICT course was called First Steps in ICT and was aimed at absolute beginners or those who are nervous about taking their first steps into the digital world.
