International Extravaganza

We had the opportunity to publicise our services to the community (including Motiv8) recently at an ‘International Extravaganza’ in Bolton, Greater Manchester.  The event was held at at Moorgate Primary School, in Tonge Moor,  to create awareness of local services available to parents; representatives from Bolton CVS, Big Local and others were in attendance. Innovative Help for the Homeless

We were delighted to host a group of students from the Manchester School of Architecture, in an exciting partnership,  for several months at our Welcome Community Centre in Cheetham Hill.  Our aim was to come up with some innovative solutions to the homeless problem in Greater Manchester.  One solution was a very low cost housing pod made from recycled materials that can comfortably sleep one person. Another was an IKEA style design manual to enable construction of, again, very low cost buildings for the homeless to use.
