Family Learning

We aim to provide culturally specific, sensitive and high quality support to the Chinese community’s most vulnerable members (women) through user led groups, social and recreational activities. All of our activities focus on promoting and supporting physical and mental health and general well being.

We provide the following services:

  • A drop-in service
  • A multi-lingual telephone helpline for Chinese women
  • A self-help group
  • Bi-lingual information to support Chinese people to access mainstream services such as GP surgeries, baby clinics, Sure Start, education and adult learning
  • Interest based classes and workshops, such as English, ICT and family learning
  • One to one support

Workshops for women which provide information on a range of subjects, including benefits, the UK education system, parenting, employment and training, health and well being.
