Cultural Awareness Training

Culture awareness training 8 October Understanding cultural sensitivity and community diversity – the carers’ perspective presented by the Wai Yin Society. Cultural awareness training explores how culture shapes every part of how we behave and communicate. It provides the knowledge, skills and expertise to communicate effectively across cultures, and understand different perspectives. How to Recycle Right

We know not speaking English as a first language is often a barrier to recycling for people in our diverse communities. To help with this, Manchester City Council has created short, subtitled videos giving advice on what to do with household waste and recycling. These videos are in the 11 most widely spoken languages in Manchester, including English.   For the other languages: Arabic Bangla Cantonese English Farsi Gujarati Kurdish Polish Punjabi Somali Urdu

  Wai Yin Society Welcome Centre “Reaching Out to M8”celebrates after receiving funding from the National Lottery to help local people in disadvantaged areas A leading North West Charity, Wai Yin Society, is today celebrating after being awarded £496,000 over four years in National Lottery funding to support its work with local people in North Manchester.
