Recording Memories

Wai Yin Society are commencing a new macmillan solutions project. Please see leaflet(s) linked below: New Leaflet It’s a pioneering service that allows people with life-threatening illnesses, or those receiving palliative care, to record their life story on audio CD. It’s a remarkable project in many ways – not least because a team of volunteers is at its heart. If you would like to join us, please contact Anny Chan, email [email protected] or telephone 07856 212 942 (Note: photos of “Basil”, the macmillan information bus in Manchester’s Chinatown)

International Women’s Day 2018

Thank You all Visitors, Volunteers and Staff at our Chinese New Year Stall

A very big “thank you” to all the visitors who celebrated with us, and staff and volunteers who turned out on Sunday 18th February in Albert Square to assist with Manchester’s Chinese New Year of the Dog celebrations, which raised awareness of  Wai Yin Society’s services among the general public. We were able to entertain the public on the day with a variety of activities (choi-san fancy dress, writing Chinese names, guess the name of our dog, treasure hunt, selling paper dragons etc.), and I believe that this in itself is a valuable service that contributes to […]
