International Extravaganza

We had the opportunity to publicise our services to the community (including Motiv8) recently at an ‘International Extravaganza’ in Bolton, Greater Manchester.  The event was held at at Moorgate Primary School, in Tonge Moor,  to create awareness of local services available to parents; representatives from Bolton CVS, Big Local and others were in attendance. Womens’ Vote Centenary

As part of our series of womens’ vote centenary events this year, there will be an “equaliteas” event at the Welcome Centre, Cheetham Hill. This is an open to all event.  There will a drama about the original suffragettes in China, role play demonstration of the current ballot process in Manchester, and a short presentation explaining the UK parliamentary system. Welcome Centre Open Day

On the 16th of March 2018, Welcome Centre was bustling with excitement as we were hosting an Open Day. This event was funded by the Guinness Partnership.  The Open Day has provided opportunities for over 200 Guinness tenants to learn more about the services offered at Welcome Centre. For many of them, this is the first time they attended an event at a community centre near them. Wai Yin is an Approved SELT Course Provider

We are excited to share the news that Wai Yin Society continues to be involved as a SELT (Secure English Language Tests) approved course provider for Trinity’s UKVI approved English Exams. This means that we help learners prepare for A1, A2 and B1 English tests, which are required for visa applications. Day Trip to Rhyl North Wales

Wai Yin Society are organising a summer day trip to Rhyl, a seaside town, in North Wales, on Thursday 17th August 2017. The trip will be fun for all the family. Active Citizens, Empowered Voices

We take great pleasure in sharing with you that with the funding supported by a grant from Tony Lloyd Police & Crime Commissioner, we were given the opportunity to carry out “Active Citizens, Empowered Voices (ACEV) Project”. Furniture Upcycling

[:en]Wai Yin is running an Upcycling Furniture project, where you can get FREE training to learn how to repair and reuse old furniture. We will teach you practical skills to fix old furniture and how to sell it on to make money. We can also offer language or math support if you need it.
