All of us at Wai Yin Society are deeply saddened by the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. We join the nation and the world in sending our thoughts and prayers to the Royal family at this sad time. Wai Yin Society will be closed on Monday 19th September 2022. Appointments will be rescheduled.
Domestic Violence: Safe Harbour Project

The Family Unit has a new project called ‘Safe Harbour’ project that aims to support Chinese women from China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Malaysia, and Vietnam whom are living in Greater Manchester and experience domestic abuse.
BNO Project – Summer sessions – Driving in the UK & Housing in the UK

Two free and exciting summer sessions for BNO visa holders will be held at the Welcome Centre in August. These sessions are a great introduction to living in the UK and will tell you all about how things work. Crossing the Borders – Publication Award

We have fantastic news for our publication – Crossing the Borders – which has just won the Alan Ball Award for community publications 2020! The Alan Ball Local History Awards in the United Kingdom exist to recognise outstanding contributions in local history publishing (both in print and in new media), and to encourage the publishing of such works by public libraries and local authorities. The awards were established in the 1980s and are run by the Library Services Trust. They are named after the local history author and former chief librarian of the Harrow and Home Counties libraries.
