Please be advised that we have already completed the move of our ETE Learning Centre and staff, which are now based in our Headquarters at 66- 68 Swan Street, Manchester, M4 5JU. We hope that our service users can find the way. It is only five minutes walk from the Shudehill Bus/Tram station, next to the Arndale Shopping Centre. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the landlord for providing a most successful tenancy in Clarendon House, 81 Mosley Street, during the past three years. Thank you again!

I was recently contacted by a Social work student, who has a Chinese family in her care. The family has little money and is in need of assistance at home. One such area that they are in need is to provide a double pushchair for their young children. Because of this, the Social work student has contacted us to see if we can help. Since we do not provide these items, and I am not sure where else to turn, I am turning to our visitors, users and friends. If you have a used or new double pushchair that you […]

The Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in Manchester has provided consistent support for the work of local Chinese community organisations for over decades. As the vice-chair of Wai Yin Chinese Women Society, a charity which provides services to the Chinese and other minority groups in the North West of England, I had the pleasure of attending a Chinese New Year Celebration at Mauldeth Hall organised by the Consulate General in Manchester on the 28th January this year. The event was very well attended. Local Chinese residents, students, business people and representatives from the Consul General’s office were […]
Wai Yin was a hub of activity and excitement on the morning of Tuesday 10th September. Around 100 learners, with their families and friends were gathered to be proudly presented with their certificates for their hard work and effort during the past year for a variety of ESOL courses. Because of the huge number of graduates and supporters in attendance, it wasn’t possible to hold the ceremony at Wai Yin’s dedicated Learning Centre in Mosely Street. Instead, a special venue was arranged at London Scottish House next to the Midland Hotel. This meant installing an audio visual system, which to the […]
