I was recently contacted by a Social work student, who has a Chinese family in her care. The family has little money and is in need of assistance at home. One such area that they are in need is to provide a double pushchair for their young children. Because of this, the Social work student has contacted us to see if we can help. Embargoed until 00:01 hours on 25th March 2014 Wai Yin Society wins Heritage Lottery Fund support Wai Yin Society in Manchester has successfully obtained a £30,200 grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) for an exciting new project, ‘Happiness and Joy at the Mid Autumn Festival’, being delivered across Greater Manchester. Led by a group of Chinese young people, the project will be an exploration of the Chinese Mid Autumn Moon Festival, which falls around each September.
