The Macmillan Solutions project is being delivered in partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support to offer support to Chinese people affected by cancer living in the City of Manchester.
The project uses fully trained volunteers to provide flexible and individualised support based on peoples needs. The volunteers are from the Chinese community and between them speak Cantonese, Mandarin, Hakka and English so can help with any cultural or language problems Chinese people affected by cancer may be facing.
The volunteers are able to provide a range or practical tasks or emotional support. In addition they are able to recommend people for small non-means tested grants if required which can be used in various ways to improve an individuals quality of life.
The service is available in the City of Manchester. (However if you live in a nearby surrounding area the service may also be able to support you)
To discuss further how the service may be able to support you or someone you know with cancer or to make a referral please contact us.
