Bespoke Training

Education and Training is the key to self-improvement, a better family life and finding work. Wai Yin Society is proud of its record as a community provider.

We deliver ESOL, ICT classes and some other training at our Wai Yin Headquarter in Manchester City Centre (M4), Welcome Centre at Cheetham Hill (M8) and also in schools and community centres across Manchester and Salford.  Over 500 people attend classes each year. We specialize in providing services to BAME communities, and work in partnership with schools and community groups.

SELF Funded Classes – we run a range of affordable classes for the community.

Community Learning 16+

We provide bespoke courses on behalf of Manchester City Council and other contracts, designed to help people to become independent citizens. These courses are linked to employability and we work with employers. We embed ICT into all of our courses where ever possible. We are a UK online Centre and we have excellent facilities of our own, and link in with community facilities.

English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) with embedded ICT , Pre-Entry Level to Entry 3 Level

Training Services for Staff and Volunteers

Work Placements for Qualifying social workers, nurses, youth and community workers and also ESOL tutors. We also provide volunteering opportunities for graduates and non graduates who can apply directly.

NVQ (QCF) Level 2-4 Advice and Guidance. Originally developed for training and qualifying our own staff and volunteers, we are now offering this as one of our services to employers.

CIEH Food Safety Level 2 – with support for ESOL speakers.

Chinese Cultural Services to Schools and Businesses

Workshops – we can provide off the shelf or bespoke presentations to schools and Business on Chinese Culture and an introduction to Mandarin.
