Sheung Lok Radio (All FM 96.9) Training

We are delighted to offer training in radio production (bi-lingual) to new volunteers. Thanks are due to funding from Ambition for Ageing. We will train you in all aspects of radio production, including driving the desk, designing your own show, radio law, interview techniques etc. Our training is designed to prepare you for your live show so you have all the skills and confidence to broadcast independently. Celebration of the Talents and Hobbies

Celebration of the talents and hobbies of those who use the Welcome Centre on Thursday 19th December from 11am to 1pm. We are holding an event to showcase the wonderful range of skills that we have at the Welcome Centre from rearing chickens and gardening to cooking and playing guitar. Can you encourage your learners/users/participants to get involved and to contact any of the Welcome Centre staff for more information on how to do this. Women Together Project

The Women Together Project is an exciting new Wai Yin Society project starting in January 2020. The project is for BME women who are economically inactive and it aims to build their confidence, skills and work readiness by involving them in activities which boost their sense of wellbeing and self-esteem. The project activities are available at our Welcome Centre, in Cheetham Hill, and our headquarters, in the city centre.
