Every year, Wai Yin honours our learners with an awards ceremony to acknowledge those who have passed their exams and completed the courses for which they were registered. Learners taking English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), ICT, and Mandarin language classes are rewarded for their hard work and dedication to learning throughout the year.
This year, we held an awards ceremony for our 2008/2009 learners in which we honoured not only those who passed the exams, but also those who had exemplary attendance (100% attendance and 80% or greater attendance), as well as those who completed their courses but did not pass the exams. In this way, we highlight the fact that we value learners who work through the entire course and attend regularly, showing that they are making the effort in their classes. But above all, we wanted to show our appreciation for all of the learners whom we have gotten to know and work with throughout the year.
At the event, a number of presentations were given. Wai Yin has decided to make these presentations publically available for the benefit of people who were not at the event, or found something interesting at the event and would like to refer back to the presentation for more information at a later date.
