Our Aims & Objectives

Aims

To promote primarily the benefits of the female Chinese inhabitants of Greater Manchester, catering for Chinese women and their family members, regardless of political or other opinions, by uniting the inhabitants, local authorities, and other voluntary organisations in a common effort to:

Advance the education of the said inhabitants; and

Provide facilities for recreation or other leisure activities for the said inhabitants in the interests of social welfare, with the object of improving their quality of life.

To secure the establishment of a community centre and to maintain and manage the same (whether alone or in co-operation with any local or other person or body) in furtherance of the above object.

Objectives

To support and assist Chinese women and their families in need by the followings:

To strengthen unity amongst Chinese women.
To strengthen the confidence of Chinese women and to build up a positive image.
To assist Chinese women in gaining access to information and resources.
To enable Chinese women to network with other community organisations.
To promote cultural exchange between Chinese and non-Chinese communities.
To develop a sense of solidarity among Chinese women.
